Conditioning
I was rereading my paper that we submitted a few weeks ago and was amazed again at how much the different types of learning and conditioning could effect my life, especially as a child. I was wowed by the ways that my parents were able to effectively help me to become a responsible and independent person through the different types of conditioning. When my brother and I would act up my parents would be sure to punish us or make sure that we learned our lesson. Eventually, through classical conditioning, we were able to learn the signs of us being punished and learned how to avoid those signs, which was beneficial to both us and our parents. Also we learned different responses that we received to different actions that we did and learned that it was important to look for an encouraging response. We quickly learned from our punishment what behavior was acceptable and what was not.
