problem solving

I thought the figures in chapter 8 that showed us how to problem solve were interesting. I had heard about the 9 dot problem before but could never figure out how to solve it. When I finally learned I was amazed at how i never thought to "think outside the box". That is a good lesson to remember. Also, the matchstick problem was cool because the key to solving it is to 'open up' the figure and don;t think that there are any restraints to solving it.
