Anxiety

When most people suffer from anxiety they actually tend to make it worse by making small tasks appear larger than they actually are. For example, when I began to get a lot of work last year for finals during Christmas time, I began to freak out and over-analyze everything I had to do. I was singlehandedly making everything seem much more tedious than it had to be. I had to learn how to suppress those uncomfortable thoughts that school was getting too difficult for me and this was all just way too much for me to handle. In order to help suppress that anxiety I think it is important for a student to step back from the situation and make a smart schedule on how he or she will be taking down all the school work that is due in what seems to be such a short period of time. However, unless one was slacking off all semester, the student should realize they have been preparing for this time of the semester all year. They should by now know the material and simply put forth the effort to dominating the final grade, or final paper. This is easier said than done, I know this first hand. Nevertheless, I believe anxiety is very easily overcome with the right mind set.
