Rationalization

Today while playing video games I noticed how psychology comes up in different places in my life. I was playing someone who was not doing terribly well and instead of just saying that he is not very good at the game he continued to make excuses and rationalize his subpar play. Maybe making excuses made him feel better about not playing well although it does not really matter as video games do not make or break someones life.
