Normal vs. Abnormal
In our power point from chapter 13, the second slide says that "Normal is a matter of place and time as well as mental state and action". I never really thought about what classified something as normal or not. Of course, we all know that it is inappropriate to remove clothing when we are out at the mall or at the park, but at the beach and in our homes, it is totally normal. The place and time of an action can really determine what we find acceptable and unacceptable. I never thought of all of the actions that I preform that seem so normal to me, but in a different situation, could seem so abnormal and different to the people around me. I think that it is interesting that ANY given action can be seen in two different ways simply given the situation and the surroundings.

I completely agree with this post and have noticed this in my life as well. For example sleeping at night is something that is not really noticed by most people but sleeping during class or another inappropriate place would be extremely abnormal. This definition of normal and abnormal of course depends on the person judging the circumstance.
